TITLE PAGE

  • REVIEW CRITERIA
    • Clear and accurate description of the project in Title.
    • Contact information is complete and accurate including name of person submitting, institution, email address, phone number and mailing address.

ABSTRACT

  • REVIEW CRITERIA
    • Includes clear and accurate summary of project description, target audience, methods, results and implications for future education.
    • Does not exceed 250 words.
    • At least 2 key words are presented that accurately represent the project.

PROJECT CONTENT SUBMISSION

Project Description

  • REVIEW CRITERIA
    • Goal of project is clearly stated and is consistent with assessment of healthcare professionals.
    • Disease state, or health problem, is described briefly and documented.
    • Physician competencies that are addressed are listed and content is consistent with the competencies.
    • The intended level of educational outcome/s sought by project are accurately identified and justified.
    • Project data is relevant and useful to CME professionals in assessing and designing education.
    • Commercial support is acknowledged, or a statement is included that there was no commercial support for the project.

Target Audience

  • REVIEW CRITERIA
    • Physician, or health team, specialists identified.
    • Demographic information is provided for targeted group/s.

Methodology (Process)

  • REVIEW CRITERIA
    • Study design used in project is clear, accurate and evidence-based.
    • Does study design measure the intended outcomes/goals?
    • Type of analysis is identified.
    • Data collection methods are described.
    • A description of what tests were run to analyze the data is included.
    • The sample size of the study is included and is adequate for the scope of the project.
    • A description of how the measurement instruments were developed.
    • Are measurement methods based on evidence, or have been validated.
    • Acknowledgement if Institutional Review Board approved the project.

Results (Outcomes)

  • REVIEW CRITERIA
    • Results reflect intended outcomes.
    • Data is accurately represented in text and tables.
    • In descriptive data when possible, means and standard deviations are presented.
    • Data representation matches the type of analysis conducted.
    • Percentages are presented with numerical values of sample sizes.
    • In post assessments where control groups are used, effect sizes are calculated.

Implications for future education

  • REVIEW CRITERIA
    • Limitations of the applicability of the data are briefly discussed.
    • Concrete descriptions of performance gaps are provided.
    • Identified performance gaps are linked to specific implications for the development of future educational activities.
