ASSESSMENT STANDARDS

Assessment standards for healthcare education and competence assessment are set by MedBiquitous Consortium, an ANSI- accredited developer of information technology standards. Standards allow the exchange of accredited data within and between organizations.

Technical Standards for CME evaluation data exchange- In order to exchange evaluation from healthcare professionals on perceptions of the activity and knowledge gains following participation. The MedBiquitous Consortium has developed a medical education metrics draft specification. In order to use this specification in developing standardized evaluation tools, CME providers will choose evaluation items for use with this specification. Technical Standards for CME certificate data exchange - In order to exchange CME certificate information within and between organizations, the MedBiquitous Consortium metrics working group has established the Medical Education Metrics Draft Specification. Technical Standards for CME learning object data exchange - The MedBiquitous Consortium has developed specifications for healthcare learning object metadata (LOM). It is intended for use by anyone who wants to develop tools on implementing electronic systems for managing and describing healthcare education. This technical standard is useful to CME providers in being able to use standard labels for target audiences, educational formats, activity location, and credit types.
